COACHES INFORMATION

Coaches:

Welcome to the 2005 Bill Dies Memorial Wrestling Tournament.    We are always striving to make this event as organized, competitive, and as classy as Bill Dies was.  Therefore, it is our goal is to ensure that you, your coaches, wrestlers and fans have a great experience at this tournament.

Seeding Meeting:

The seeding meeting will be held at Bradley's Copley Center, 1278 Sunset Dr., Copley, OH  44321 (note new location)

on Monday, January 10, 2005 at 7:00 PM.  Refreshments will be provided.

No       later than noon on Monday, January 10, 2005.

Weight Allowance: 

Due to several teams having matches during the week a one pound weight allowance shall be in effect for all teams.

Type of Tournament:     Double elimination

Awards:

Plaques will be given to the top six place finishers.  Champions will also receive a Dies Memorial championship sweatshirt.  Teams are divided into three divisions (based on OHSAA).  A team trophy will be given to division champions and one trophy to the overall tournament champion.

Accomodations:

A coaches hospitality room will be provided.  A concession stand for participants and spectators will serve warm food items and drinks.

Passes:

Each school will receive passes for each wrestler plus 4 for coaching staff.  We will have a pass gate for school administrators, wives and bus drivers to sign in.  Lost passes will not be replaced.
